Information collected by the project
The site does not use registration, login forms, advertising, tracking pixels or first-party cookies. It sends limited, anonymous operational analytics to the English for Noar project so the owner can understand which lists and actions are useful, where learners stop, and which parts need improvement. The project does not collect names, email addresses, browser fingerprints or a permanent personal identifier.
The measurement record contains the site and page, a short-lived visit identifier for one browsing session, broad activity signals such as opening a page, pressing a button, playing audio, selecting an option, an anonymous correct or incorrect outcome, and approximate active time. It does not record the word a learner typed, a voice recording, a student profile or a personal score.
Browser features
- Copy link: when selected, the requested public activity address is written to the device clipboard. Clipboard contents are not sent to the site owner.
- Pronunciation: speech is generated through the browser or device speech-synthesis feature. The project records only that audio was requested, not the spoken word, voice selection or a personal listening history.
- Email: selecting an email link opens the user’s email application. Any information sent by email is provided voluntarily and may be used to answer the message, investigate a reported problem and maintain necessary correspondence.
Hosting and external services
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may process technical information associated with page requests, such as an IP address, browser information and security logs, under GitHub’s own Privacy Statement. This processing is performed by the hosting provider and is not used by the project to profile students.
Links to Ministry of Education files and other external websites are governed by the privacy and security practices of those services.
Children and students
The application is suitable for educational use but does not knowingly request personal information from children. Students should not email identifying, health, password or other sensitive information. A parent, guardian or teacher may contact the project on a student’s behalf where appropriate.
